Dr. Weedman received his Ph.D. in English with a concentration in Film Studies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. His scholarship on filmmakers such as Joseph Losey, Roman Polanski, Jerzy Skolimowski, and Howard Hawks has appeared in the journals Quarterly Review of Film and Video and Senses of Cinema.

Dr. Weedman is presently writing a book on the film collaboration of Joseph Losey and Harold Pinter, as well as an essay on Jean-Luc Godard’s 2004 French film Notre Musique. Dr. Weedman has taught a diverse selection of courses in Film Studies, Modernist British and American Literature and Drama, and Composition.

In addition to teaching courses in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication, Dr. Weedman serve as the Assistant Director of the Communication Center.
